Children who have experienced loss of control while in the bath or swiming may develop a fear of water. It is wise for children to be taught how t swim at an early age. This is espeically important if the family has a pool, swimming skills will help prevent accdients.
Toddier - Twos find learing to swim easy and enjoyable. Fear of water is usually short-lived. The child who persissts in his anxiety can be helped by having a trusted adult guide him gradually so that he experiences feelings of fun, relaxation and ultiamte mastery.
