I need your help! In my team there is one lady who is very near to my manager. Yesterday, our onsite people had sent some issues and bugs with one of her codings. I only did the testing of that. But the bugs appeared where no where mentioned in the test cases written by her. She is in this project much before me and supposed to know the things more than me. Today she wanted me to retest that. She admitted at time of coding also she did not know herself that these problem may arise. So set aside me, how do I know about some new senarios? Now as she is blamed from client, she is telling our manager that its my fauklt as in first time testing I should have known this? What should I do you think? As manager is very near to her, she has taken manager in confience and putting the blame on me.

If I would at your place, the very first thing I would do is to give complete priority to my work. I would go to the manager and put things in front of him very clearly, I would say, I don't know how all this happend and I will surely find out that. But right now its important for us to test the things again and make our client happy.
Once you put the things in this way, I don't think your manager would have any problem with you. After that you could keep your eyes and ears open and observe everything going in your office. I am sure you will get clue who had done that thing.
All the very best.
