what age is reasonable when it comes to online friendship thingies? is there an age that can be considered too old? myLot in my opinion is OK because here, real conversations and advices are given.. but how about for sites like friendster and mySpace where all you can see are pictures and a little bit of information about someone? what do you think?

Age doesn't really matter when it comes to friendship. Friendster.com and Myspace.com is just one way to keep your friends and make friends. Friendship has never been defined by age.

I am 33 and have a Myspace account. I have found many old high school friends and my sister and cousin. There are a few people I have added to my friends that have become pretty nice people to talk to. I don't think there is an age limit unless you are just looking for a date, which a lot are doing there, but you have a choice who sees your profile and who can be your friend.

No age bindings in friendship!
What ever people count as age has nothing to do withreal friendship! Because this is the only relation which is so immence as well as freedom based and accepting friend as an individual entity with love and respect, without gender bias, race bias!

It entirely depends upon you that you are laying down a age limit for befriending anyone. I think it will be your personal choice, here on mylot I do not think age is any strict creteria for befriending anyone. The flexibility, choice and positiveness on mylot of members is superb.

I think it doesn't matter how old are you
everyone is free to be online
but of course you must ask the person you want to become friends
if he/she can accept it or not

The limit is your capability to communicate. For as long as you are able to communicate with others and thus develop friends online, there are no barriers. There are so many in friendster and myspace in the hope of cultivating friends from anywhere who are clients of the web and are browsing these sites. Honestly, there's nothing I see that can stop you from having friends online.

You can make online friends always untill you keep privacy and are able to decide whether person is worth friendship or not.
There are many people on net in chatrooms who are not trustworthy and can harm you some way or other. I don't mean to say that all of them are bad but on a percentage basis I can say You can only trust 40% of them . You are old enough to decide what's wrong and what is right for you.

Age doesn't matter..
I met a lot of friends way older than me and way younger than me through friendster, multiply and myspace and hopefully here too. And it's quite a great experience being a part of sites like this cause we get to meet people from the different walks of life:)

there is a saying that age doesn't matter. well.. it is also applicable here in the internet. no matter what your age is, you can still have a lot of friends here and i mean also true friends. I have a friend that I just met in the internet. she is almost 40 yrs old. And what a coincidence because we just found out that she is one of my mothers playmate during their childhood. So you see... there's no age limit here.
