Hi guys, I wanna ask a question about domain registration. As we all know, when we need to register a brand new top level domain, we need to enter some personal information like your real name and real address. Can we skips this or just give some fake information to them? You know, some website in the internet can search for these information of the domain owner simply by checking the domain name from those website easily. Besides, how can we register a top level domain name without using our own information? Or can we hide those information if we use real personal information? If you know something about that, would you mind to help me, please? =)

Internet users can find your personal information by using the 'who is' information. You might coverup some of your personal information while purchasing the domain name , but that would make the site less authentic and might decrease the dilute the content of your website to an extent. But if you still like to bypass the personal information, then you could ask the company where you purchase the domain name from to change the important parameters. If you aren't purchasing through a credit card and pay through e-gold ,then you can use a different site. But I would still suggest you reconsider that :)

Wow! Is that true? If I can register a domain name by e-gold, I can avoid this problem? Can anyone suggest some domain registration site that accept e-gold as payment method? Thanks a lot for your help!

Of course I know I can do that in a free hosting account, but I prefer a top level domain rather than a sub-domain. Thank you very much for your information anyway. =)
