Technically I am not sure these are considered fairytales, which are a type of folk tale that develops over time and ultimately have no true author. For example, most of our modern fairytales were written down by the Grimm brothers. They collected the stories, but did not create them. So since The Lion King was created in the 1990s by Disney corporation it is not a fairytale, just a kid's story. Just need to clarify. My favorite is The Ugly Duckling.

A fairy tale is a story relating the adventures of fanciful beings who appear in human form. Fairy-tales intrigue most children.SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARVES is my favorite's fairy tale in my childhood.

I reckon Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella and even Little Red Riding Hood would be good ones.
I loved all of those as a small child and begged mom to read them to me over and over again.

The story I loved was of little mermaid who gives up her tail to spend a day with her prince or something like that. It came in reader's digest and I kept that issue for so long. It disappeared wafter I got married but I loved that story a lot. but may be it would be too difficult for a two year old why not try simple animal stories of loin and rabbits and dogs and cats something she has seren and can relate too.

That's a hard decision to make. I recently ran across a long time favorite book from my childhood, one that had been my mother's before mine. It contains 50 famous fairy tales, and after scanning the table of contents again, many of my favorites popped out at me.
For a 2 year old little girl, let me suggest The Dancing Princesses, The Flying Trunk (similar to Aladdin), King Thrush-Beard, and possibly The Six Swans. All should be age appropriate and shouldn't cause bad dreams. :)
