I'm waiting for our new table to be delivered, sometime in the next couple of hours. I'm so excited - we had a small, square table with only four chairs, and it was beginning to be a real pain whenever we invited people over - since there are three of us. My daughter would have fits about having to sit in a different chair, and since it's bar-height, it was difficult anyway. Our new table seats six, and has a leaf so it can seat even more (if we buy more chairs.) I'm so excited because it's the same style as our living room tables, which are easily visible from the dining area. What kind of table(s) does your family have? Do you like it, or do you want a new one?

I have a blond oak table that is round without the leaf and oval shaped with it. It seats six and rests on a heavy, huge central pedastool. I love it.

We donĀ“t have a table, so I would love to get a new one! :) We actually have virtually no furniture, since we are in the process of building a house and there is no room for a table or anything else apart from beds and desks for the computers. I have great plans for the future, though. I like to surf furniture stores online and dream of when I have my kitchen!

I am sad to say that we don't have a dining room table because the house we are renting has no dining room. We tried having a small table in the kitchen and the kitchen was just too small for it. Then we tried the table in the living room at one end of the room, like a dining area but that also didn't work out. We ended up just stacking things on it so we got rid of the table. So now we just eat in front of the TV. There are 5 of us, two adults and three kids. We'd really like to have a table but just have no clue where it could go. The house really is too small for us but due to the price of renting, we aren't able to move any time soon. Plus, moving is a nightmare anyway.

We have a lovely dining room table that will seat six without the leaves and 10 - 12 with them in. It is maple (I think) with a cherry stain. My husband and I don't agree on wood. He likes dark and I like oak. The table has a type of workings in it that makes it easy for one person to add leaves. I love it because nothing makes me happier then a houseful of guests.

We have a small one in the kitchen area, and when we moved into a bigger house with a dining room, my s/o came home asking me if I had a $100 one day, of course I was wondering where the conversation was going. I guy he knew from work was selling a dining room set, solid wood, but needed to be refinished. Ok, I like doing things like that, so I bought it. I could not believe my eyes when we went to pick it up! It was table, 6 chairs, china cabinet, buffet, and server! All in excellent shape. I kept thinking for some reason it looked familiar. I sent pics to my mom and she called me and told me why it looked so familiar, it was the same as the dining room furniture my great-grandmother and great-aunt had in their house when I was a small child! I hadn't seen that furniture in well over 20 years. I would say I got a real bargain!

How exciting! We just recently bought a new table also! I always used to think my mom was so silly for getting excited over things like furniture, but now that I'm an adult, I do the same thing, lol. Our new table is long and rectangular with a really pretty pattern set in the wood, and it has dark cherry colored wood. It has four upholstered chairs, but I can't decide whether or not to buy the two extra arm chairs that go on the ends. Ours is supposed to come in next week, so I'm getting really antsy to have it! My husband and I just got married last year, but it was right before he left for Iraq and he has finally just returned, so this is our first time buying furniture together and I'm so excited!

We have a nice table that we bought at the thrift store but we have no chairs to go with it. It is only my husband and I and our 6 month old daughter so its not a big deal. My husband is a restaurant manager so he is usually not home at night which leaves me to eat by myself. Our only tv is in our room so I usually eat in bed or while on the computer.

I have an old white table, it's not wood but it's coated with some weird white vinyl that's easy to clean. I don't want to invest in a nice table until I have children that are a bit older. Growing up my sister and I ruined a nice table so I don't want to experience that as a mother lol. It seats 4, fits perfectly in our "dining/living/kitchen room", I think if it were any bigger it would have to be outside!

We have a table that can seat six with a leaf in it but it seems really small compared to the dininroom. We just moved and I didn't realize how big the room was. LOL! Now i may just have to buy a bigger table! HMMM good excuse to go shopping! Yeah!!!

Our dining table is dark brown.. made of wood.. handcrafted.. oval but elongated.. and can accomodate 8 persons.. My mother had this custom made by a neighborhood carpenter.. The table has been with us for 2 years now.. But my mum might have it replaced soon cos its feet have been chipped off by our pet puppies.. They've been using it as teether.. (n_n)

I had the same issue at my house. We always have people over for the holidays and it was a crazy. Specially with football games goin on, a big table is so better for the food and the guests. I recenty got this super nice table sits almost 10 people, and in my family its four of us, so now we can have poeple over and still have space to place the food on the table. Check out this store is has the best banquet tables--- www.banquettables.ws Custom made at affordable prices!
