Who do you think should choose the name of a baby if parents don't agree?

If your husband/wife wants to put to your baby the name of his/her father /mother or a name that you really don't like what would you do to resolve the problem?

Since my ex and I weren't together and he didn't initally want the baby I thought I should get to choose the name. It was my plan to until he started to come around and get excited about her. He got insistant that he should get to choose a name and wouldn't agree on any until even the day I gave birth. I'ma planner so that drove me nuts. I explained to him that girls dream of this moment, naming their babies, it is a big deal. Anyway, I got to chose the first name but she pushed until he got both middle names, I agreed on one, but the other is not my favorite. Brooklyn Nicolle Kaitlyn, but he calls her it and no one else does, so that's fine by me.

Lucky you! I knew I had the only man who cared about picking the baby's first name and I told him as such.

use it as a second name, or third name! we didn't agree with some names too! i had a book filled with names and we both made a list with the names we liked! there was one name we both had so we thought about it and kept it! it was a boysname but we got a girl, and that name was the first name i mentioned and we both liked it right away!

That's a good idea but if there isn't a name that both like, what happens?

Well if I ever have a son in the future I'm going to have his middle name my fathers name. I don't think my husband would object because he knows how much I love my father. My husband and his sister are named after their parents so it's not like we could name our kids after one of them lol. My daughter does have my middle name though. My husband didn't say a word.
