Women's stigma-wearing high heels

I rarely wear high heels. I have a desk job and only walk around a short amount during the day so I wear flats-they are comfortable and I don't care to impress others with my new high heels. I do like them because of how they look on myself so I will only wear them out on dates with my hubby sometimes or when I wear my boots because my boots have heels. Also, I don't wear heels because my feet and toes hurt afterwards and I don't think it is worth it. How do you feel about wearing heels and where do you wear them?

I love to wear high heels. I'm 5'7" and the extra height makes it perfect for dancing with my husband. I like the way I feel when I wear them - even to the grocery store. The only time I don't wear them when I'm out is if I'm doing a lot of shopping quickly, or if it's my turn to take care of the kids in the nursery at church.

I do feel pretty when I wear them too but then I get miserable from the pain. My niece is 5 and loves to walk around the house in my boots and heels-not very safe though at her age.

I am only 5 feet tall so I wear heels quite often. I choose chunky heels though and only wear shoes that are comfortable, no matter what. Life is too short to go around with sore feet just to make a fashion statement!

Amen to the "life is too short..." quote! Good point-the chunk ones don't often go done at a straight angle so possibly not as painful to your feet.
