High School Drama....venting..

Why is it that my adult friends have created more high school drama than any of my high school friends combined? I am 25 (almost 26) and I thought that the older you get the more mature you get. Recently I have made some new mommy friends (or so I thought) and they have been nothing but drama. I swear to God all they do all day long is call each other up and talk about each other behind their backs. I'm so sick of it! Just this morning one of my "friends" called me up to tell me not to trust another "friend" because of the stuff she has been telling everyone about me. It just seems to me they all have jealousy issues and are just trying to stir up drama. I've told them all I don't want anymore to do with it if that's all they are interested in. I've quit hanging out with all of them but 1 and believe me I've quit talking to her about my personal life. It just pisses me off that grown adults are like this. We're not in high school anymore! Grow up! Sorry just had to vent and it's ok to vent here since none of you know me or know who I'm talking about.

trust me on this one honey, that is not maturity to me. sometimes people tend to be a critic with everyone. friends, since they know each other, well they sometimes do that just to get attention or to see who is the greatest among the gang(it happens all the time). well we can never remove the fact that people sometimes become insicure with themselves and to remove that insicurity, they destroy others so that your attention will not be on the person(when it comes to giving negative comments). so just go on with what you are doing, not minding those kind of people, wether a friend or not. but heres another fact, not all critics really mean destruction of another person(sometimes, these critics just dont know how to approach the person you both are talking about so they need help sometimes and a second opinion, wether their thougths about the person is right or wrong), and these kind of critics are the bestest best and true friends you will ever find.

I've always thought that true friends really are hard to come by! Even having just 1 close friend can be better than having 20 questionable friends. It sounds like maybe the people you speak of have a lot of growing up to do and are still stuck in the times of high school, it's actually sad.

I feel ya hun,I have been having the same issue over 2 different "friends" for the last 2 months, all the backstabbing and talking stuff behind people's backs is just childish! Good luck and don't let them get you down.
