Do you get bored at work?

I´m a recently graduated productin engineer. I work at Petrobras, which should be really good. Everyone is really exited about my getting this job opportunity, except from me (and a friend of mine who went to college with me and understands precisely what I´m going through). My work is boring, I spend most of the day pretending to do something. But I can´t really do other stuff, so I just sit in front of the computer and wait for the hours to pass. Sometimes I surf on the web, but I can´t do this often. I want another job. I´d babysit if I could get any money out of it!

I am sorry to hear of your predicament. In the current job market, I would be very careful. If you are serious about seeking employment elsewhere. Employers look for longevity at previous jobs. But if you are not employing your skills you worked so hard to get, I would say look for something else now. You must be happy with what you are doing, or else you will continue to be bored.
