Should you have more than one child?

Children who grow up without siblings always wish they had one. On the contrary, if you have a second child, the older one always faces some amount of neglect!!
Those of you who grew up without siblings... what do you think about this? Would you have rather had someone to grow up with?

I am an only child, and don't remember ever wanting a sibling. I was perfectly happy playing on my own, and had friends to play with when I wanted company. I have 2 stepkids (12 and 15) and DS who is 15 months. I think he'll have the best of both worlds (we're not having any more kids). He has a brother and sister, yet when he's school aged, they'll both be out of the house, so he'll be an only child too.

I grew up in the middle of two boys, it was great sometimes and not other times.
But i have a 7 year old girl and a newborn, I was only going to have one then we got this surprise. My girl has a really bad case of only child syndrome. She is used to being spoilt and having her own way, now she has to share parents etc... she is excellent with the bub but babyish to us, geting better though. having this bub is really making her act her age now.
