My girlfriend doesnt like it when I go out and get drunk every weekend. She thinks it can really alter a persons judgement. Is she just too insecure or should I back off on getting drunk so it doesnt ruin our relationship?

I would back off. I was in your shoes a while ago, and I hurt my relationship more than anything. He said it made him feel like he wasn't making me happy. When I was seeing someone who drank a lot, he ended up cheating on me and blaming it on drinking. If you really love her, try to see it from her side of things. Sounds like she really cares about you. I have been on both sides of the fence, and neither side is fun.
I am currently not drinking, and am married with a kid. I feel that I need to be responsible to be a good influence on our son. And I am actually happier living my life this way than my life before. Just think on what I said. You never know.

It all depends on what kind of drunk you are. My boyfriend was a drunk who would call me and accuse him of cheating on him while I was sleeping. He would never cheat on me, and honestly I never thought he would, but the verbal abuse became an issue. He hasn't stopped drinking but he has stopped getting nasty drunk. If your girlfriend is pressing the issue, you just have to decide which is more important..drinking or your girlfriend?? Be safe and be careful and good luck!

For me yes because if a person is drunk it changes its attitude its changes everything he/she dont know what he/she is talking and doing about, so it really ruin a relationship, you will hurt your love ones and in the end you will be the hurt most

yeah it can
its probably more a symptom than a cause in most cases though
maybe aggree, once a week with friends ok, if you don't drink too much
or 2 a day on average
see what works for you
happy folks shouldn't need any
