No, it will not be justified. He can turn to be an asset to the Indian Cricket team, but he more of a middle order batsman with such a high back lift. Some times he has a tendency to play it across, that may be dangerous especially when he is facing a seamer.
His best position would be just after Rahul in this present indian batting line up and ahead of Sachin.

Dude.. i feel that if u play Dhoni before Tendulkar.. there is no point playing the god (tendulkar) in the team.. he is a great bat.. but if he comes so down the order.. he wont get a chance to settle down.. he has to just come and hit.. i dont think he can do tht.. specially looking at his current form

I would like to differ a bit. Firstly, India has got a lot of good openers like Tendulkar, Ganguly, Sehwag.. so, Dhoni won't really get a favourable look as an opener. Another thing, he has shown his strenght against spinners, slow bowlers or medium pacers who throw poor balls due to tiredness at the time Dhoni comes to play. So, we don't know whether he will be good enough with the new ball and the strong attack of frsh bowlers. So, it looks less likely to me that Dhoni will be good as an opener!

Dhoni wont be a well suited opener for India.. they have alot of talent.. other tha Dhoni.. n Dhoni is very important for india in the last ten overs of the match.. he can really increase the run rate

I am not at agree with this option.. Because there are 4 specialist opners available in team then there is no any reason to open with Dhoni.. He may come at no 3 but not as an opener..
