English around the world

Are you in the US? I'm in the UK and as I've been to the US and watched lots of US films and television, I know that there are a number of different words for the same things, so I thought a quick quiz for US residents might be fun. If you are in the US, can you tell me what these UK English words mean? And if you are elsewhere in the world, can you share some of your local words. I'd also be interested to know whether you use any of these UK English words, or their US version? ## Quiz ## ~ UK English - can you define the following? ~ 1. Flat 2. Pavement 3. Jumper 4. Tights 5. Tap 6. Car Boot 7. Trousers 8. Mince 9. Chips 10. Crisps 11. Biscuit 12. Bum 13. Roundabout 14. Lounge 15. Estate agent I'll rate all good attempts at answering!
