I would love to start a band, especially one that does Beatles covers. I actually sing them quite well. I was offered a record contract a while ago, but never took it. Not ebough confidence. Now I would love to, but don't have the means. What would you do?

Like the previous person before me said, don't give up! Any dream's worth persuing til the day we kick the bucket in my opinion ^_^
I've flirted with the ide of being in a band myself, but I've never really given it serious thought.
I suggest performing in local events, clubs, etc..maybe for friends only for awhile..until you can getsomething of a following. This way you can build up more confidence, whilst getting people who like your music..then maybe think about selling cds, but first I think preforming just for the local folks and friends would be a start..and everything else can wail later. Because the key to any dream is to have fun with it..of course there's serious stuff involved, but it doesn't have to be tackled right away ^_^
Luck!

Never give up! If you really want to sing, sing. Perform wherever possible...local clubs, fairs, talent shows...just get out there and do it - that's the best advice I could give you. That's what I know from experience. I've always had to work for what I want, so that's what I know to do. Is there anyway you can reach your old contact?
