I was going on the bus today together with my 18 year old and 4 year old. I asked the driver how do you get to so and so destination and knowing there are more then one supermarkets with the same name and similar location, I specifically mentioned the exact location. The driver being oblivious told me to take a completely different bus that went in the opposite direction. Luckily after telling the other driver my situation, she was nice enough to let me on on account of I wasn't able to get another transfer and I needed to get another bus. I didn't make it to my friend and was upset having to know that alot of drivers don't know the bus routes.

Taxi drivers are the same way too. You would think part of their driving test was to know where most of the places/street names where in the area they were going to work right? I have come accross many taxi drivers who still don't know where so and so street is - its very annoying and frustrating and I have had several arguements with a few taxi drivers and they end up saying that they don't understand what I've said to them (hello I have told them the street name in ENGLISH!!!!) Makes me wonder how they got their drivers license in the first place.
I suppose it might be a little difficult with bus drivers as they only know their routes, and probably not all the routes in the area. Still, I would of been frustrated by all of what you have just described.
