We all suffer from illness time to time and all have to go to doctor. But some people are unfortunate enough to admit into hospital because of serious illness or accident. Have you been hospitalized because of illness or accident? If you have any story reletad to hospital you can share with us.

When I was 7 I stepped into a wide pipe and it cut my lower leg open so far that you could see the "meat" and the bone. (Sorry if that grossed anyone out). The took me to the hospital, gave me a bunch of stitches, and sent me home. Three days later I was admitted into the hospital for an infection. I stayed there 6 days, and it was only when I was discharged that my parents told me I had almost had my lower leg amputated. When I was 22 doctors were frustrated why I had so many things wrong with me. Certain test were coming back and they were bad. But they could not find the source of the problem. Since my insurance at the time turned down my doctor's plea to send me to the Mayo Clinic, she asked for them to allow me to stay in the hospital for a week and have a bunch of doctors from different fields, look at me and my test results. Sort of like a mini Mayo Clinic. So the insurance agreed, and for a week I was in the hospital. They took blood three times a day, and when they couldn't find any good veins anymore, they told me they were going to have to draw blood from a vein on my neck. I refused and the finally got a vein in my foot. The week that went on included a spinal tap, and several other things I'd rather not even remember. People have it much worse than me, and I am eternally thankful for what I have today.

Thankfully I have never been admitted to the hospital till now (touch wood!) I hope I will go to the hospital only when I have kids..hehe! I had never stayed in a hospital too till my mom was admitted a few years ago and I had to stay with her. That was my first hospital experience ever.

I was hospitalised once after a traffic accident but it was only for a couple of weeks and it was nothing too serious. Hospital is now like a second home to me as I suffer from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). I don’t mind spending time in the hospital because the staff are very nice and I have become very good friends with them over the years. I just wish I didn’t have to be so ill when I am a patient so that I could enjoy all the attention and the pampering.

I have been admitted to the hospital many times since 2000. In November of 2000 I got flesh eating bacteria. I was in a coma for 6 weeks while having several surgeries daily. I did not come home from the hospital until March of 2001. I had to go back in a while later to have my treacheotomy reversed and colostomy reversed. Then I have had to go in for recurring cellulitis since 2002 from scar tissue that keeps splitting....*sigh* The hospital is my home away from home...lol

I was in the hospital for 5 days when I had my gallbladder surgery. I do not remember most of it because i was on morphine for the most part of it, but i do remember the one lasy that was in the bed next to me kept me up all night because she kept yelling for the nurse and moaning and groaning all night, i actually buzzed the nurses a couple of times to get them in to shut her up.

I have only ever been in hospital 3 times and thats too many. 2 of them were for minor sugery and the 3rd time was when I was in a car accident. I have been a visitor quite often to hospitals in the past, to visit friends and relatives, it seemed at one time I was spending as much time visiting people as I was anything else.

yes. when i was 10 years old i fell down from our three storeyed residential building. i was rushed to hospital in unconcious state. its only gods will that i survived with a fractured right hand. the doctors and all our friends and relatives couldnt believe how i survived the thud from such a height. i was kept under observation for 2 weeks after which i was discharged from the hospital with garlands from friends.

It's really funny that many of my friends and relatives have been to hospitals because of accidents or illnesses, but i have never been in a hospital as a patient :). Doh! I'm happy about it! I'd like to beat some kind of record! The one who has never been in hospital! :)

I got hospitalized before because of dengue. I was in the hospital for 1 week and couldn't eat that much and I was so weak. Dengue is some kind of sickness that gets your red blood cells and it can kill you, it is very dangerous. Good thing, i got out of it.

Thank god that i havent been admitted to hospitals for serious illness rather i was hospitalized for some other problems i had. While i was a kid like 3 years old i donno what happened or why i was admitted. What ever i know is that my stomach went on swelling day by day and they had no clue why that happened, so i was supposed to stay in the hospital for almost 15 days where i underwent a small surgery(which my parents never tell me). Later on when i was 14 years i was admitted to get my nose operated cause of the septum deviation which was a big trouble for me. I had to stay in hospital for almost 10 days and my nose was totally wrapped up. Inhaling and Exhaling was only through my mouth and what ever food i took was through mouth only i had some horrible time then.

I have often been to hospitals as a visitor visiting my friends who are patients. Staying in hospitals is unlike staying in hotels. There are so many rules and regulations and restrictions. A well person may also end up sick if frequently visit the hospital. I hope I do not have to be a patient due to sickness or accidents.

I have never been hospitalized. I am always afraid to have any serious illness. By the blessing of Allah *God*, my very serious illness till now is 104 degrees temperature for 1-2 days and this was treated in the home coz my father is related to medical profession. I Pray for all to not hospitalized, but this is the fact of life that every one have to suffer from some sufferings which have been written in his fate.
