I'm stuck on what to write about right now so I'm depending completely on MyLot members to pick my topic. The main headline "My Biggest Secret", would you rather read a story about revenge on a cheating boyfriend, or about someone being raped by their roommate?

I would rather read about revenge on a cheating boyfriend!! I would choose that because it is more of a "fun" article and not something as serious as rape.

I would rather read about revenge on a cheating boyfriend. Lay it on me, honey! Where is this story? Don't keep it from me.

I would read both. If I can only read one, I will pick one and ask a friend to read the other. I will read the one which is shorter and more interesting. In that way, I get to know both stories. This is not a big secret since I am posting here otherwise I would have ignored the mail and keep the answer to myself :P

I would rather read first about the revenge on a cheating boyfriend and next about someone being raped by their roommate.Though these are not my interest topics but if choosing them whichever I would read first then that would be my sequence.Enjoy your writing composition.

That's a tough one. Both of them would be a very interesting read depending on how they are written. The revenge one could end up not seeming as funny on paper--you may look crazy or evil or something. I lean towards the rape one, though, because I think it could be touching and informative. There is very little chance of coming off as the bad guy in the rape one.
If you have the time, I would write them both. Then you can get them out, tweak them, and decide which one you like the best.

I think most women would cheer a little : ) There probably would also be a little bit of "Whoa, don't get on her bad side!"

I would enjoy the revenge on a cheating boyfriend because I could relate to it more and because it could be more light hearted. And its probably the one that would be bought quicker than the other because it would have wider appeal.
The rape story is a good survivor type of story, but its hard to read about the brutality others can inflict. But its good because there are woman who need to see how to overcome that very same scenario.

I would prefer the first one better. People prefer fun stuff rather than serious ones, don't they? So i would say stick with the first one. :)

Are you asking the guy in me? Well, I think he would love juicy details in the second option! But then again, raping is definitely wrong and I am not suggesting it should be done.

I'd write about the revenge on the cheating boyfriend but I wouldn't make the big secret the revenge on the cheating boyfriend. Nope. The twist would be the big secret which would only be found out at the very end making the main character look really really psycho.

I think the revenge topic would be more appealing to a wider audience. It has the opportunity to be humorous, which may draw people in. Also, I think you have to be really ready to deal with heavy topics like rape, and if you're not READY to write it, then it just comes out sounding half-a**ed or unfinished. I'm not saying that you might not be ready to write about rape--you may well be, but you have to be willing to put yourself on the line, and that can be hard, especially if it's a true story.
Go with the boyfriend theme. It's kind of something I've thought about myself. You won't have to necessarily strive to gain a serious audience for this piece--you'll be able to take more liberties, it might be more fun, and people would probably have more fun reading it.
