I grew up in Nebraska and about a year ago I moved to New York. I tell my fiance (who only lived in Nebraska for 2 years) that I miss it alot. Just the landscape. It was so beautiful. Has anyone else moved away from Nebraska and actually miss it?

Hello coxkix69....
My wife and I moved here near Beatrice, about 15 years ago, we're originally from the Boston area. I'll never live in any city again. I love the quiet wide open views and the weather is decent 'till some really scary storms hit but, they generally move through quickly.
GO BIG RED !!!!!!!!

From an outsider's perspective, Omaha and Nebraska may appear to be an overly boring place to live, with little to offer other than agricultural farms ans corn.. but Nebraska is one of the best places in the United States to raise a family in my opinion. The cost of living is affordable, the people are friendly, and the landscape and scenery is beautiful.
I still live in Nebraska, but my siblings moved away many years ago, and they tell me all the time how much they miss it.
In truth, there's nothing like Nebraska.

I was born in southern Oregon, moved to Reno when I was 8, and then to Nebraska right before I turned 18. I moved back and forth between Reno and Scottsbluff for the next 8 years or so. I finally managed to come full circle and brought my kids back to where I started. I love Oregon with all the mountains. I think there was too much space in Nebraska. I do however miss the Spring-Summer light shows that Mother Nature bestowed upon us in the midwest. People who have never seen a "10 finger" strike are missing out. I have never seen so much lightning hitting one area at the same time. I don't miss the nighttime storms when I was living in a trailer!!!
