I completely agree with you! I've watched Idol every single season and this is the first year when I've said to myself that if Chris gets voted off before Sanjaya, I will no longer watch the rest of this season. I about had a stroke when I saw that Stephanie & Chris were the bottom two. Neither of them deserved to be sent home this week - there are at LEAST 4 other performers that should be going home before either Chris or Stephanie. Chris is my favorite and while I do not like the idea of people being able to vote more than once - they do it so I'm going to join them from now on.. so every single Tuesday night I will be using my cell phone and my son's to call for TWO hours straight to vote for Chris (if he continues to shine like I think he will). I only voted a couple of times last night because I was busy and then when I saw him in the bottom two tonight I knew that I needed to vote more if I want him to have a chance against all the teeny-boppers and Idol haters who are voting to keep Sanjaya there. I'm not sure if you all are aware of this or not but there is a site that has been around since at least the second season of Ido that is focused on keeping the weakest singer on the show. The site is full of people who think A.I. is a joke and they all decide together who they will vote to keep on the show based on how horrible they are. I'm pretty sure they are all voting to keep Sanjaya on the show - no other explanation for why he is still there. The sad part for me is this is the final 10 that will go on tour - which means Sanjaya will be a part of that and not Stephanie. What a freak'n joke!

I think sanjaya does have potential, though the clock is ticking and he is no where near developed enough as an artist to go all the way.

Actually, something like this has happened every season since the very first season. It will continue to happen until someone decides that only 1 VOTE PER PHONE NUMBER is the way to vote. Sanjaya did have a much better performance that he has usually had, but come on! Chris blew him away. I wasn't too thrilled with Stephanie's performance but even she ran circles around Sanjaya.

I totally agree with you. Why is Sanjaya still there. He is not a very good singer. His voice is not as strong as most of the other singers. It must be for all the 10 year old girls. I sure hope that he goes next week or I will begin to think the contest is fixed.

I feel the exact same way..it's ridiculous that he is still on there. I'm so mad this year over Idol.

I can not believe that he survived and Stephanie was voted off. While her performance was not the best this week, she still is better than Sanjaya on her worst day.
