Do you have health insurance? If not, what would you do if you had to go to the hospital or found out you had a very serious health problem, which would require alot of doctor visits, treatments and maybe hospitalization. What would you do? Would you have to disregard your health because of lack of money or insurance? Let's even say the state doesn't cover you...What would you do?

I do not have health insurance at the moment on me and my daughter. Since I am not working outside of the home, I haven't been able to afford it through my husbands employer. He has health insurance though because his company pays for it for him. We are working on getting some bills paid off so we can get coverage for me and my daughter. My daughters dad is supposed to carry it on her until I get some coverage but I don't think he has any insurance for her. I always worry about what will happen if I should become very ill. I sure hope I get insurance soon so I do not have to worry about not getting treated or being able to pay the bills. I would just have to try to get coverage and get health assistance and pay them back a little at a time since I don't have insurance.

Hi stephcjh, It is enlighting to know that there are people like youself who are insurance concious. I was and insurance agent, I had lots of hard time encouraging people taking up personnal insurance. However, they did finally and now they are some of my very close friends. Finally it is a win win situation

We have been without health insurance since just before our fire. Fortunately we are pretty healthy and do natural herbal remedies and eat the way we should mostly. So far we have been fine. Personally I would rather suffer and die then pay the outrageous fees that are totally unnecessary for treatment. There are alot of us that do not have insurance and it is a travesty in this country that it does not take better care of its citizens. We will have insurance again, it will just take some time. Hopefully until then we continue to be ok. It is all we can do.

Yes I do have one, and frankly it came to my help when I was admitted in Hospital for a minor stroke. A greater portion of the mmedical bill was cleared by my health insurance. In my country we do have a compulsory, health program covered and payed by using our CPF and we can futher enhance this cover with a private insurer using our CPF to fund the premium. THis is how I manage to pay off my medical bills.
