medical assistance...

have you or someone in your family gotten medical assistance? i have myasthenia gravis and am awaiting my disability and so our home is just one income. i was granted medicaid to help with all my medical expenses until i'm awarded something in court. anyway i have noticed that when people in hospitals or doctor's offices see that you are on medicaid they aren't very nice. i had this happen again yesterday at the doctor's office. makes me so angry! doesn't mean i'm a worthless bum! have they never had a hard time in their life? what do you think?

i think people that have never been in a position like that really can't understand it. and by not understanding, they can get very nasty and unfeeling. it's very aggravating, but i guarantee that if they were suddenly put in that position, they'd have a far different attitude very quickly. try not to let it get to you, they just have no idea what it's really like.
