My grandmother will be 77 next month. She has had several health issues over the last several years and has lost a huge amount of weight. She only weighs around 90 pounds. She has no appetite and cannot eat. She doesn't even want to eat and when she does, she eats like a bird. She is very weak. She is also growing very depressed and I'm afraid we might lose her if something isn't done. She goes regularly to the doctor. She has had all kinds of tests and we know cancer is not what is wrong. She does have heart problems, lung problems, and blood pressure issues. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to help her gain weight? I heard that there are drinks and other things that could increase appetite. Does anyone know what it is? Please help me help my grandmother because I love her very much! Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated:)

If she can digest some milk-shakes then do try some fresh fruit milk shakes like mango, apple, bannana or strawberry milk shake twice a day with some 300ml each time do add sugar to this.
This can help her in gaining some weight soon in seven days or so.
Wish your grandmother a good health soon.

hi, i felt sorry bout your grandma's situation.. but first and foremost you should realize that your grandma's growing really old, she's 77 and thats quite a large # for an oldy to be living, alive and kicking! and on the flip side im happy to know that you're really close to her, which i couldn't relate that much because me myself ain't close to either of my grandparents yet i do love them!
Aging is one thing even scientists and researchers all around the globe don't know how to prevent nor its scientific origin. As we grow old our body's cells and metabolism becomes weary and starts to atrophy.
about your grandma's condition it is actually normal that she is undergoing what you've mentioned. and to give you a few food supplements i knew, are you familiar with DXN International Company? they have lots of supplemental drinks which would greatly alleviate your grandma's health! Try to visit their web site at www.dxn.com! Or ask some of your friends where could you find and visit DXN service centers in your own locality. have faith, don't lose hope my friend! your grandma will soon be fine:)

Thanks for the comment. I tried to visit the website but it didn't work. I'll try it again thought. Could have hit the wrong key.

Have you tried carnation instant breakfast? That goes down pretty easy and is fairly substantial. That's a good opportunity to "eat" when she's only thirsty. I would tell you the "alternative" cure for it, but that's not very legal.
