What are your special memories of family bonding where food plays a major part? My family frequently has a Sunday gathering and we prepare our favorite recipes. We have pork or beef dishes or sometimes fried chicken, pasta (white sauce), long grain rice, sodas and ice cream.

well, food has been a part of my family's tradition, not jut food, but lots of it.. there's this one time where we are just doing nothing and i suddenly thought that i wanted to cook or prepare them something special.. i cook this vanilla-mango-flambe'.. it so delicious.. its a desert that a friend thought me how to do.. and then it suddenly lit my famil;y's smiles, its delicious, as they say, and since then, i continued preparing them desert and everytime they are so happy about my cooking.. and when we eat, we talk about evrything and absolutely anything that the family is concerned about and we chit-chat til dawn.. its a nice experience that i definitely treasure inside my heart for the rest of my life..

It's nice to know that you have memorable experiences with your family. I think family's a priority! =) Thanks for sharing...By the way, how do you prepare that flambe? =)

When we had special times to eat together as a family, the food that is being served is really special. Usually, the food takes time to be prepared and finally cooked. Now, we don't eat together anymore as the family members have their own families.

Hi ichurn! Thank you for your response. Do you usually spend the entire day together? Don't you still continue the "tradition" of bonding with your respective families now?
