my husband smokes but wont allow my daughter

my husband has smoked on and off for most of his life but now that my daughter who is 18 has started he will not allow her to smoke in the house and is allways starting fights about it i have never smoked but i think it your own choice if u do and she is old enought to make that choice i know he is only saying it for her sake but to her it is just do as i say not as i do who is right?
