whatever happened to good tv?

what ever happened to when you used to look forward to watching tv at 8:00pm and see some entertaining shows. the 70's and 80's had the best shows---my whole family would watch together and it was great--now there is maybe 2 shows worth the time---absolutely no good sitcoms anymore!!!!!what do you think?

I think that TV writers ran out of good ideas for sitcoms. Plus, most sitcoms have been geared for younger and younger audiences and contain more profanity than a lot of people like to watch. I fondly remember those old shows, too. In fact, people are still enjoying many of their reruns. We've seen every Andy Griffith Show about a hundred times, and yet we still enjoy them.
