proton, alliance with volkswagen,,what a move?

any malaysian in this forum may think the allianced may be wrong decision by the proton, but I think otherwise. I see some potential of going global for proton to enhance their reputation nowadays. The sales is slowing down as well as the product seemed to like static of creativity. I though having a good partnership with well established company like volkswagen, would help protons to propel.
Any comments?

Yes, most important thing is learn their marketing strategy and quality control. I believe proton has advance facilities to come out with world class product. The problem is, how to turn this advance technology into profit? Big manufacturer has it all!! And government should not be too ego to learn from ppl!!
