I have seen in many discussions people fighting verbally and the primary point of discussion getting lost. It mainly happens in discussions related to religions or countries or language. Why some people do not understand this place is to discuss and not to prove their verbal skills over another person. I am sure all of us are here to learn and grow our knowldge and not to fight.

Really, people. This is myLot, an anonymous chat site with particpants from multifaceted backgrounds of nationalities, religious beliefs, educational levels and, as we have all noticed, opinions. Taint no way this forum is to be construed as a place for a serious discussion. With the mix of people participating, it is rather obvious that, while the English is the common language, many of the participants do not understand the nuances of the language. If you want a a serious discussion, join a debate club, attend a university, etc. where there is a more structured environment for such endeavors.
Meanwhile let's turn on vent fans and have some fun.

Unfortunately this is bound to happen from time to time, but in the main there are many very interesting discussions here. I try to ignore any contentious issues here.

Yup. Is there any particular reason for this behaviour ? Ego could be one answer.
