Well Do u think is it a wise decision that Jason Newstead took to leave Metallica. Can he form another band like Metallica?
Can he get more fame by leaving Metallica?
What was the real reason for leaving Metallica?
If anyone has fair idea about it i would love to know the reason as to what prompt him to leave Metallica.
Leaving Metallica and forming RockStar Supernova, Is it a good idea. Whats with him?

I am sorry to see him go, but at least for right now I don't think he wants another band like Metallica. He seems to be branching out a bit and trying new things, so maybe he'll enjoy Supernova and his other band, Echobrain (if they're even still around. . .are they?).

I doubt dude.. if he will be able to come up withanother band like Metallica. Its next to impossible.. You need perfect combination to do that... Bands like metallica take years to make one/.

Well what do you think that force Jason to leave the band.. Well i will not blame him totally..
He is awsome player. Is it because he is not getting enough attention from the band members? Is it because all the limelight were on James Heitfield, Kirk Hammet and Lars Ulrich?

That's the thing, I don't think he'll make another band like Metallica, since I don't think he wants to. Sure, a band with 'Tallica's popularity would be nice to have, but that's just not gonna happen. The thing that makes Metallica so successful and a household name is that they appeal to such a broad audience. Their thrash stuff is revered by metalheads (like myself) but it's not extreme enough to really alienate the more mainstream audiences (like the way Slayer is). Then they've got that hard rock kind of stuff from the '90s that although a lot of metalheads have disowned, many still like very much and those ones of course have the most mainstream appeal of all.
So yeah, Jason isn't going to be doing that again, but at the same time he doesn't really need to. He's got his money, fame, royalties and stuff from Metallica and now he can really explore other options without worrying about making a living.

No, it isn't a wise decision for Metallica to let go Jason Newsted.
Ever since Jason became a member of Metallica, he was treated as the new guy and didn't get enough fame for the work he did. He worked hard for the band, while the others were enjoying vacations.
Finally, he decided to record an off-beat album with other musicians and his proposal was rejected by James. He thought about it and decided to quit Metallica.
He gave all his life to music, but Metallica didn't play much music and family took priority. Thus, he quit the band. It was a sad moment.
And yes, one more good thing about him is that he's not chasing money but music. That makes all the difference, my friend !
Have a great day ! :)

I agree.. Metallica will not get a better bassist then jason. Well i also agree with you that all the limelight goes to James, Kirk and Lars. That may be the reason why he left the band. Do you think of any other reason why he would have left the band?

Honestly it makes no difference to me anymore. Metallica has NOT been the same for YEARS. I thought once they cut their long hair & started making videos looking all pretty doing the ST. ANGER crap they just went down hill. Nothing beats Master of Puppets & For Whom The Bell Tolls. That is Classic & GREAT Metallica...not this crap they have out now. blech.

Hopefully they will be back to the same old Metallica we love and listen to.. They cannot go on with trial thing.
St Anger shows that they are getting the pressure from the new punk rock...
Well I think Metallica should stick to the basic

Well............metallica have been known to change bassists over the past. So, I don't think the news would be pretty much surprising.........usually discord between band members is the sole reason why members tend to leave and pursue their solo careers!!!! personally I'd think there must be something going on between him and hetfield
