Are you closer to your mom or to your dad?

I just do not know why I am like this. Since I was young, I am very close to my mother than my father. I am a male. Whenever I there is something I want, I always say it to my mom and not to my dad. I really dont know why. Sometimes, my mother would say, "tell it to your dad". What I'd do is just shut up and forget what I wanted. I'm not afraid of my dad. He's not even scary. I just cant say things to him. But we talk. But not as much as how I talk with my mom. I haven't even kissed him or say thank you to him ever since I stepped grade 1 at school. hmmmmm... why? do you know why? Tell me about your experience

I always felt closer to my mum. perhaps it was because Im a male and I naturally felt that mum was a soft touch and that She would always listen to what I have to say. However as ive got alot older and so have my parents i seem to have grown in my relationship with dad. As time progresses i feel i am getting closer to my dad even though i feel that i am closer to my mum. perhaps my dad is mellowing and what used to stress him out before somehow isnt as important any more. i dont know what it is but i suppose for a boy mums are always going to have that special place.
