Looks, muscularity, power, price, pulsar has a blend of em all..but what are the things needed to improve..
according to me...low end engine grunt is lacking..top speed stability is not good....can the note of the engine be made a bit louder..?

Time and again, Bajaj has improved Pulsar, just when people were saying that it was getting a little dated and jaded. It is one bike that completely changed the business style of Bajaj and with it, it also changed the way biking was perceived in India. Before the advent of Pulsar, four stroke bikes were considered to be the choice of the married office-goer, the uncle-types, typically delivering a mileage in excess of 60-70 km per litre. The Hero Honda Splendor came to be symbolic of the sedate four stroker. On the exciting side were bikes like Yamaha RX 100 and 125, but after the two strokers were banned, they quickly became collectors pieces. When people were confused as to what to do, Bajaj came up with the Pulsar and suddenly, four strokers were a lot more exciting. People who wanted the thrills of RX 100 were spellbound by what the Pulsar had to offer. A damn powerful and quick bike, one that even returned a good mileage. That was what Pulsar was. Whatever is done in India related to bikes, the topic invariably veers to mileage. Even in the niche market of power bikes, the ugly head of mileage raises its head. The stunning looking CBZ was doomed because of its poor mileage, though it was a great bike to ride. The latest in the series of Pulsars, the DTS-Fi is still yet to hit the roads, but it has already started turning heads thanks to the scores of photos of it that have appeared in almost all motoring mags in India. It seems to be an exciting package.

And I think that the DTS-Fi will answer all the questions that you have posed. Better top speed, better top speed stability, more low end grunt, higher power at lower rpm, a higher revving engine, the whole hog. The works, baby. That's what it will have. The works. I'm definitely looking forward to that dynamite of a bike. The CBZ extreme will be eating dust soon.

hi complex vanilla..the new 220 cc dtsfi is surely oen should look forward to but the milage factor also plays an important role in the fight for the top..the dtsfi may be powerful, better in every sense than the CBZ extreme, but if it even returns an average of 50 odd kms, people will choose the pulsar 150 or CBZ because they will find the average of the 220 cc a bit less, somewhere in the margin of 35 kms...also people think..why the hell do i need the top speed...who can drive at 130ks on indian roads..?
