It is a known fact that China is the most densely populated country and they have a one child policy where only one child should be born between a couple in their lifetime.Do you agree with China's one child policy??? Do you think this is the best solution to control the population of that country? Are there any other alternative ways of dealing with this problem?

I recently read an article that was talking about this. Apparently, because it is more culturally accepting to have a boy than a girl, many couples will abort a girl in the hopes of having a boy the next time around.
This has lead to an imbalance in the number of women in the country and they estimated that if this trend continues at its current rate, that the Chinese may find themselves having little to no opportunity to reproduce, due to lack of women.
So, I also read that they are extremely limiting the number of Chinese families who are allowed to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl for this reason.
Has anyone else read anything about this?

In theory it is a good idea. However it takes away a persons basic rights to having a family. Also I believe that it causes as many problems it solves. Some people will want a girl... others a boy. It can lead to back street abortions and selection of the sexes, abandoned children, and neglectif a child is produced of the wrong gender. It is a whole mine field and I am glad that I do not live there!
