I don't trust in either debit or credit card . I use 3V card and they are very useful too. With 3V Vouchers if you don't have a credit card or don't want to use one, you can still shop online, over the telephone and via mail order wherever you see the VISA logo. Everyone can use 3V Vouchers, as long as they are 16 years old or over, have an email address and the use of a mobile phone. You don't need a bank account or bank references and there are no lengthy application forms, no credit checks and no interest charges, just a small fee of 240 rs or £3.50 for every voucher purchased. What's more, they're as easy to buy as a mobile top up, from any participating retailer.

3v is good but is it available anywhere in the world? I'm still in favor of credit cards just choose what kind. For example, American Express has a charge Card wherein thee is no interest but u have to paYoff everything each month. so u only pay for what u use but the downfall is that u are being charged for an annual fee and it depends on what type of charge card. They also have the "credit card" which u have the option of paying just the minimum due each month and u will not be charge for a finance charge if you avail the card under a promo and lets face it... cards are accepted all over the world. You dont have to bring cash anymore.. :)

Got rid of all my credit cards except my debit card.. I use that all the time..I really never have any cash on me. I use my debit card for everything.. Debit cards dont cost anything..If you dont have the money in your bank account then you cant use it.. Thats why I would rather have a debit card then a credit card..They can get you into trouble if you dont watch what you are spending...

I am disabled and so shop on line frequently and a credit card is an absolute boon. I can bank online too and try to put the payment directly back to my credit card. they don't like this as it messes up their accounts, but at least I know the thing is paid lol.

We do have a few credit cards. Right now we are just trying to pay them off because we used them for everything when we had no money. We don't owe too much but with interest and the annual fee we would like to pay them off and get rid of all but one. We would like to keep one of the credit cards just in case of emergency, like something with the car or the house goes wrong.

If you don't need to pay any fee for it, why not? Many cards offer you attractive reward scheme for using them to pay for your purchases too. As long as you make sure not to have overdraft, it is always wise to have a card since it helps you manage your finances better. ;-)
