is the largest shopping mall in the Philippines and the 7th largest shopping mall in the world. In terms of gross floor size, it is next to the South Dongguan Mall (China), Golden Resources Mall (China), Central World Plaza (Thailand), Seacon Square (Thailand), Runwal Arcade - Mumbai (India). It opened on May 21, 2006.

Since the time it opens my bf and i used to go there to hang around.. to kill time.. the place is good...
It is nice to ride on the golf cart that roam around the mall...it's nice to skate there because it is bigger than in megamall..
It is good to sit and watch the sunset at the bayside..unfortunately, it is being closed for the public..
it's just the same mall.. not so big actually!

I've been there many times already. It's really big in fact I haven't seen all the establishments coz it's the philippine's largest mall. I noticed there are many people visiting the mall even during week days. The best feature Of SM Mall of Asia is the marina area where the breeze from Manila Bay cools restaurant diners even at 12 noon. The walkway affords one of the best views of the bay. It’s even prettier at night or when the sun sets.

I've been there twice when I went home last Christmas..I like it cause it's big and all. There's a lot of stores to visit and a lot of food choices as well. Plus the bay side view is really appealing to me and it's quite close to some gimik places. Though it doesn't change the fact that my favorite mall is still Glorietta by heart haha..
I miss the Philippines. and I tell yah...I like our Philippine malls better than what we've got here in Canada..:)

It's the largest mall in the country by far and one of the top largest in the world. It boasts of various entertainment venues for the kids and kids at heart. it's a beautiful mall and a tourist attraction for the world to see and taste what the Philippines can offer. The i-max theater is something to look forward to.
If you want to visit mall, i suggest you wear very comfortable shoes and a handy map of the place...it's very big and I think the whole day is not enough to be able to visit the whole place.

Base on what u've said, well, I think I have to wear rubber shoes when I go there, and I really want to watch movie there, in I-Max theater.

yes, i have been there.. i don't like it that much though. well, because it's too big and it would be pointless to go there if your would be just window shopping. you would just end up having aching legs and you won't get to see everything yet. i go there if there's a destination point already. like imax or watching other movies, or buying something that could only be found there, or watching a show there or starbucks with friends who want to go to that specific branch. megamall and galleria are still my favorite malls.

SM Mall of Asia was constructed within the reclamation area, west of Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City. It consists of four buildings interconnected by walkways; the Main Mall, the Enterntainment Mall, and the North and South Carpark buildings.
The Mall includes branches of all the standard anchor stores found in most of the SM SuperMalls. The First ever branch of Taste Asia, one of the SM Super Malls food-court brands, is located right outside the the mall's supermarket, the sprawling SM Hypermart.
One of the mall's main attractions is the first ever IMAX theater in the country, along with the Director's Club theater for intimate screenings with 30 La-Z-Boy seats, a Premiere Cinema, and the Center Stage Cinema which can be used for live musical concerts and theatrical performances.
In addition to the mall's special theaters, it also has six regular two-tiered movie theaters similar to the ones found in almost every SM Supermall.
The mall features the Philippines's first Olympic-sized ice-skating rink. The rink is described as the biggest of its kind in Southeast Asia.
It can accomodate both recreational and competetive figure skating, as well as ice hockey.
Take a look at it when you got spare. Bet you'll enjoy.
