All my life i have wanted to move to another place... somewhere outside the US... I was thinking of moving to an island in the carribbean and honestly i dont find it that unrealistic anymore! I recently went on vacation and spoke to a lot of the local people that were working at the bars/restaurants/dive shops ... and i met a person that was my age ... exactly my age :)same birthday of same year, anyways, i figure if he can do it i can certainly do it! But i think it might be a jerk thing to do because i have an 8 month old daughter and i am seperated from her father ... what should i do? I dont want to leave her with her father, although it would make my life easier.. but on the other hand i dont want to take her away from her father... its a sticky situation. Maybe someone can give me some advice?

This is something you need to talk to your daughter and her father about. Let them know how you feel. By getting it out in the open you all can discusses your options and find what works for all 3 of you.
Hope it all works out.

I agree. This involves both of you as parents. Everyone needs to do what makes them happy in life but as soon as you become a parent your enjoyment becomes secondary to the welfare of your child. Another thing to consider is the medical facilities available to your child if you move to a location like that.

I am inclined to agree with the previous commenter. I guess you can't really ask your daughter, because she isn only 8 months old, but you should talk it over with her father. I am hoping that even though you are separated you can still talk to each other about things like this. Maybe you can work out a good visitation plan. Good luck with this; I don't blame you for wanting to live there!
