the art of giving

There are two parts to the idea of giving back that are essentialfor you to keep in mind. When you hear the words "give back," do you automatically think of giving something back to your community or giving to charity?
There is another equally important aspect of "giving back"-the act of giving back to yourself. Even in business' whether out of sheer focus or neglect, women tend to be selfless or to ignore themselves until both they and their business suffer.
Do you let this happen to you in life or business?

When I think about giving back I generally think about giving time. My time. I do give donations but being able to volunteer at things is important to me. As far as the business it usually is only donations because it is very easy for somebody to take advantage of a business a lot of people don't become emotionally involved in somebody elses business.

When I think about giving back, I generally think about the idea of the various charity works that I have done over the years. I have always been one who has donated my time to many worthwhile causes. You can read more about them here if you are interested.

As for giving back in life or in business, that is much harder for me. As you have said, it is often much easier to give to others than to give to ourselves. I find that I need to be reminded often that it's time for me to take a break. Otherwise, I may find myself working through the night on a project, only to push myself to exhaustion. I know that this is neither good for me or for business, but it's easy to do if we aren't careful.

I have always been a giving person and sometimes it is a bad thing because some of my family members like my aunts take advantage of it and take me for granted
