An update on our recent lose of Charlie our kitty

I had posted a discussion a while back dicussing the sudden death of our young healthy male cat, Charlie, that we thought was poisoned by a eating a lilie I had received at my new book signing. We have an update! The vet called us and asked if she could take a test on Charlie, being that they were still keeping him for us in cold storage until the ground thaws and we can put him in his resting place. She said that she had doubts from the beginning about it being the lilies that I had brought to her, as they were so dried out by the time that I had thrown them in the garbage can and the kitties got ahold of them, but there just wasn't any other possible reason for what happened! We are now on the list of victims of the bad cat food. I guess that not being able to bury Charlie right away was supposed to be, as most people just have their pets creamated. At this point I don't know quit how to feel, as I had been feeling so very quilty that I didn't know about lilies being poisonous to cats and putting them in the garbage can where they could reach them. Now I have a big weight lifted off my shoulders, but it doesn't bring our Charlie back, but on the other hand, even though we did lose our Charlie, it helps knowing that he helped to keep other pet owners from going through the heartache that we have and the terrible painful death that Charlie had to endure.
