I wish i knew where the days went. When days of rubber boots, hoola hoops, and skipping rope was easter stuff. No its cell phones, calling cards, some kind of game systems and the games that goes with it. Boys the world has changed so much since i was younger. Things nowadays are getting bigger and more expensive. How many do you as parents agree with me.

Kids get presents at Easter now? When did that start? When I was younger, all we got (or expected) was easter eggs and some candy, like a chocolate rabbit or something. Maybe a little stuffed rabbit in a basket, if we were feeling flush with money that year, but that was it.
I think stores are using every opportunity they can to turn every holidy into a "gift-giving" holiday, so they can sell more stuff.
It's too bad, all the preoccupation with presents takes away from the real meaning of whatever the holiday is really supposed to be comemorating.

Well thats true. Like i said we only got rubber boots and a skipping rope, thing that my mom thought that we might need for the rainy days of spring. Plus like u said a little bit of candy. Man i have for kids and they are asking me for games for the PS2 and cell phone cards. ( my ex husband ) bought him the phone not me.Then my daughter wants to go shopping. My youngest well give him time. All he wants is toys. I think they think the easter bunny is rick..LOL...
