Love - easy to forget??

when somebody says " i cannot live without you" do they really mean it? i have heard a lot of people saying that they would die if their loved ones ditched them. but i have also seen a lot of people survive their heart breaks and very soon they have another person for whom they can die. in fact i have never seen anybody die of love. so is love easy to forget? life moves on even if your beloved dies... then why do people say that they cannot live without them. what do you think?
