well, this doesn't happen often, as my hubby has pretty good breath, but when he does have bad breath and tries to kiss me, i gag, and then i tell him to go brush his teeth and he'll get all the kisses he wants haha, i know it sounds mean, like horribly mean, but i've tried just telling him 'hunni i just can't stand your breath' and what not, and it doesn't get through. So now he knows that i have a sensitive stomach, and i can't handle horrible breath, so usually he chews a stick of gum or something so it doesn't bother me. It really worked out. Hope the problem gets better for ya hun, men can be more sensitive than we are, and words sometimes don't get through the tough exterior of their skull.

if the love is there it wont be a problem, just explain to him that he would rather you tell him then someone else on the street, telling him his breath stinks w/ no type of compassion at all

Be honest! You know we are so worried about hurting one's feelings that sometimes they actually end up appreciating it. My baby, he likes honesty. I will tell him if he needs to brush his teeth, just as well as he tells me I'm a little tart. It's not to critize, better you, than to have someone talking about him later and he goes "why didn't you tell me"? If he's musty I will tell him. You know, if your not comfortable with each other to be honest about things like this, there could be alot of problems, later (emotionally) you feelings may be hurt, because you can't believe it was told to you. I am very sensitive, but if my mate tells me that i am a little tart, verses talking to a stranger who's holding his nose as we are talking, I would be even more hurt, because I would think that the person is trying to be funny, or cruel. I say tell him. Trust me he will appreciate it.
