How many meals do you eat in one day and why?

I eat 4 or 5 meals per day. (1 meal being my protein shake.) I eat more meals per day when I workout 5 or maybe even 6 if you count a P.W.O protein shake. I heard eating smaller meals with more fruits and veggies controls blood sugar levels more effectively. If I eat 3 meals per day only I feel like I had an inadqueate day, or like i've done myself wrong. I think eating this way is an effective way to manage weight for anyone, but some people I know only eat 1 large meal a day, and small snacks throughout the day. What do you think is the right amount? The standard 3 square meals? 1 large meal like the warrior diet? or the new age 5 or 6 meals a day?

the chinese have been eating out of their tiny bowls five times a day for ages! they remain the fittest people till date and they seem to be living the longest lives!

I normally just take 2 meals a day. Because of my irregular sleeping hours, I normally wake up in time for brunch (breakfast plus lunch) only. After that, it would be dinner time. Dinner would normally last me till I sleep. If I get really hungry between dinner and bedtime, I may just snack a bit or drink some beverage. ;-)

I bet sometimes your walking to the fridge like a mummmy. OMG! I need food rite now! Anything, will do. I'll grab this N this N eat a choco pie N soda N w.e. is in front of my war path. This is how I am when I eat less meals.

I eat about 4 times a day, usually 4 small meals. That's just how my schedule works - if I tried to have 3 meals a day, I'd have a really big gap between lunch and dinner, or between dinner and breakfast.

lol ... i jus hav 2 proper meal a day....breakfast n dinner!!! i usually hav to get to coll at 9 am...so i sometyms 4get abt the breakfast admist all that rushin!! if i do hav somethin..i hav a bread or some cornflakes!! then at coll...i hardly hav anythin otha than mayb chips or some drinks....its oly wen i com home...that i hav some snacks n dinner at nyt!!

Haha yeah. If I ate this way I'd be sooooo skinny, it'd be hard to see me. :0. You seem to not really worry ab food at all! Did you ever even think ab it? Or do you just always just fly around N not worry ab it until it hits you.

The number of meals I eat vary with the day. Most of the time I skip breakfast except on the weekends. I usually eat 2 medium to large meals a day. Being overweight I have tried 5 to 6 small meals a day but only lasted for about 1 week becuase it was hard to keep remembering to have something to eat every 2 hours. I am currently trying to eat as much fresh fruits and vegetables as I can while eliminating as much fat as I can since having gallbladder removal surgery.

Fat isn't always a bad thing. Your mono N poly fats are good. Well, its good to see your trying to get on track with the fruits and vegetables! Did you employ any stratgies to ensure you get them in everyday?
