I hope to buy a Mac as my next computer because I am tired of a computer that is geared mostly for business people, is being attacked by trojans and virus, and having to take out the plug ins and mouse, buying separate periphials etc. and having to buy a new computer everything a new update such as Vista comes along. I like the idea with the Mac that I do not need a separate processor and that in the Mac it is all included.

Well a Mac can run both Windows and Mac, whereas a Window system can only run windows. When you go to the store, you do not say, I want a Windows Operating System, you say I want a Windows Computer. If you want to buy a Mac, you do not say, I want to buy a Mac Operating System, you say I want to buy a Mac.

That's right windows is an operating system but I think you're misunderstanding what is being said here whenever "windows" is mentioned....
Mac is the only computer in the world that can run all the major systems including, Mac OSx, Windows XP and Vista
So obviously when we complain about windows, we know that we can get a MAC and use the Mac OSx instead.

I am definitely considering a Mac laptop by Apple right now as I was at the mall today looking around. They are very impressive and love the fact that they are safer and more secure than Windows. Not having to get the extra software for security reasons is nice as it is built in and you can also have MAC and Windows on their laptops and switch back and forth if you need to. One of my coworkers just got a MAC and he loves it.

I'm debating between a desktop or a laptop. The trouble is I probably would have to get both. If I had the new Windows Duo 2 core, and Windows Vista professional or something like that, I'd just get a Mac laptop (with a wide screen) but because I only have a Pentium 4 which can only upgrade to a Pentium D, now if I really want to be happy or if I had a rich uncle, I would get both a laptop and a desktop. Or I could get the best laptop that would work as a desktop. That would save me a bit.

My next computer will definitely be a MAC as Windows stinks and has too many vulnerabilities. I am tired of the viruses, worms, spyware and all the other harmful things that can be done in Windows. I will probably get one of those Apple MacBooks as my next computer. Apple provides very good service to its customers as well.

I like the Mac best. I heard you can do more with it. Now whether to stick with a Mac Pro laptop or get both a laptop and a desktop.

Sounds good for you. However both my husband and I have windows, when you have to format it takes forever. We can't count the times we had to upgrade including the time I did not have to, because, "You had better format the C drive" and found that it was some other problem. That's why I want a Mac.

My next computer is a mac. I couldn't afford it when I bought my current two computers but the next one is going to be a mac or nothing at all.
I love everything about them - including their commercials!
I like the idea of built in security so I don't have to worry about windows updates, firewalls, anti-virus and all that. The only drawback is that one essential program for my work is not at all compatible with mac.
I found the one I want, I just have to order it.

It will not take me long to get used to a Mac. I might have trouble with Linux though.

I want a Mac too.....a BIG Mac that is. :D
I am sticking with Windows for now. I am used to having my windows protecting me from the rain and snow. ^_^
Seriously I am thinking of buying a Mac one day. Windows has so many bugs (especially in the summer).

I hate having to update my Windows, especially that once a month tuesday thing. That's after the bugs they should have protected you against get on. Besides I am an artistic type, I like to write, do music --I could do photos if I learned how to operate a digital camera which might help if I had about $200 to spare to get a good one.

I have a Pentium 4 (yes cheap , not enough money) so I do not want to get Vista anyway because why get the one just designed for people who want to email and surf when you want the one that does everything? It has not been out that long for all the bugs to evaporate.

I'm not gamer, but I am very good at solitaire. In fact with me, I had better not play them -- or I'd finish my novel.

I think the wondows is a good choice, anyhow it's very good for your daily using, the MAC is particular to the design, so I think the windows is good
PS:the answer come from China, add me as the best answer, and let me try how the website work.

Website works very good. I usually go over what everyone says to rate the best answer. I have not decided yet on whom to pick. If I had money, I would buy a 2 Duo Core, etc. Windows for a desktop and have a Mac for a laptop with a wide screen. Since I am not nearsighted, it would not be a small one.
