About kidney failure

My dad was told his kidneys are failing him, he also has heart block and had a pacemaker placed January 2007, he is 72 , he is diabetic, and he is unable to care for himself, he was here with me for 2 yrs till it got to be to much for me, he is adjusting well in the nursing home and ,he refuses to have dialysis, he has been put in the care of hospice, I am running myself nuts here, because 3 different stories are being told to me about his health and how long he may have before he passes.
