When you're doing the dishes, do you like to use liquid more than the paste?

When we were young, my brother and I took turns in washing the dishes after eating.. :P and my mom had to buy both dishwashing paste and liquid as I prefer using the liquid while my brother wanted to have the dishwashing paste.. lol No very good reason actually...it's just that I like doing the dishes when I have the dishwashing liquid... :P and my younger brother is more stubborn coz he wouldn't do the dishes at all of if he doesn't have what he wants..so it ends up with me doing the dishes instead... *sigh*
So, to avoid from passing on the chore to the other, my mom bought both.. lol
in your house, is it you doing the dishes? or have you ever done dish washing? if you are in-charge of doing the dishes, would you prefer using the dishwashing liquid or the paste? do you think there are really big differences?
do share your thoughts.. :P

We don't have a choice of dishwashing liquid or paste in my country. We just use either dishwashing liquid or dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher. It is always my turn to do the dishes as my husband has to work all day and I couldn't expect him to come and wash dishes. I don't use the dishwasher very much unless we have vistors and there are a lot of dishes to be washed, so I will use the liquid and wash the dishes in the sink.

We like paste as it is not expensive as compared to liquid soap which is quite costly.

my brother and i take turns in washing the dishes. there's no big deal out of it actually. we can use either a paste or the liquid. we're not very picky on what to use. if what's available, we use it without question.
actually, it's better today. back then when we were still kids, we can't even afford to buy a dishwashing paste or liquid. we just use the laundry soap bar. have you used them, too? we did use them a lot back then. and still, we have no questions. we just used what's available.

I use liquid dish soap, dawn brand. I think it works well and its easy on the hands.

I am for dishwashing liquids, because I think it's more economical and also, I feel the cleanliness in using liquids. As for pastes, there's a tendency that the paste get stuck on plates when not properly rinsed.
As for me, I'm already retired on washing dishes. My younger sister is the one's who is responsible for cleaning most of it. While me, I'm in-charge on cooking our own meals. And sometimes I end up cleaning the kitchenwares that I used..

Normally I put them in my dishwasher after i rinse the dishes..If i have just a few i use a liquid..they have a new liquid foam that i really like so sometime if i do wash them ,i will use that...When I was a kid my mom always did the dishes and she used a liquid..I was the only child at home when I was small ,my boither and sister were both grown and married ,so she always just did them..

I go for the dishwashing liquids... I just find it more economical and more tidy to use... I don't really like using paste as it gets messy at times. And besides there are a lot neat variants to choose from when you shop for dishwashing liquids, and I love the fruity scent of these liquids.

in our house, any of the two will do. sometimes we use the paste and other times we use the liquid. we feel no difference in using both as long as our dishes are clean.

Hehe, I never thought somebody would have preferences in dish washing materials.. ;o) I use the dish washing liquid here and yes I do the dishes, most of the time. We have a dishwasher but I prefer to do it myself. Back home mom uses a dish washing soap bar, which comes in the form of paste too. I think we tend to overuse the paste compared to the liquid. Well I don't mind either.

We used to use the paste rather than the liquid soap in washing the dishes because most liquid soaps are a lot expensive than the pastes. But just recently, my sister and I decided to try the liquid soap. So for us to save some liquid soap, we'll just pour over a few of it in a container and then mixed it with water. And we found out that it's better to use it than the paste because it's more convenient for us. :)

I didn't even know there was such a thing as dishwashing paste lol.
Here in Canada we have either dish detergent, or dishwasher tabs for the dishwasher. I use dish detergent because I don't have a dishwasher, but I do have to be careful with what I use, because some of the cheap stuff can cause me to break out in a rash. I have sensitive skin.
