don't you think the verbal volleys ryan and simon lodge against each other during the show makes it more interesting? simon's always hinting that ryan should come out of the closet and ryan's always saying how simon thinks he's a god. sometimes i'm more interested in what they have to say to each other than in the performances themselves.

It certainly does make the show interesting..I used to wonder if they really didn't like each other..but have seen many interviews with them together and they really do have a great relationship..Recently Simon was interviewed by an E person and he was saying what a good job ryan does at filling in spots that get boring or emotional in the show..he actually said he really respected Ryan...then of course said he would deny it if asked again!!!LOL...I think Ryan is the perfect host for the show...:)

ryan is indeed the perfect host for idol. he's a good sport and is able to make the contestants feel at ease, particularly after being berated by the judges.

LOL I always love waiting for what they are going to say to eachother next. Sometimes it really looks like Simon gets extremly mad!! But I find it really funny and enjoyable, as long as they dont go to far (they havent yet)

Yes, I love it when Ryan gets in a really good jab, though Simon is pretty quick himself, lol. Sadly, I think that's the kind of stuff that keeps viewers tuning in --a little bit of soap opera!

I think it really does contribute to the show's ratings... This 'tandem[????]' is making the show a lot more interesting, aside of course from the showcase of talents that this show is best known for.. I really cant think of any better host and judge for this competition.. Can you think of others?
