I am just now starting to do the blog thing and I am really enjoying it. I seem to be having a little problem getting backlinks though. I have submitted articles to websites with my link in them, and I have submitted my link to several free directories. The problem is that when I look up backlinks for my site on google, it says I have none. My site itself is indexed on google, but according to them I have no backlinks. Is it not considered a backlink if it is part of an article you submitted? I am kind of lost and wondering if anyone could shed some light on this subject for me. Your comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
