My favorite part is number system. it is the most interesting part of mathematics. often in school or colleges people leave this part or don't give much stress on this topic. but, it is very interesting and deep. even in books some theories are outdated. they should be changed. but, this part is not touched by any one. many who know much about no. system, give impression as they know some magic about maths. in vedic mathematics, no. system was very deeply stressed and the limit till which vedic mathematics have gone in no. system is very deep from general topics which we study about no. system.

i believe that number systems is not really a mathematics subject but a part of the broad mathematics subject basic or general mathematics. these subjects are usually not taught in college but in high school only

mine? ummmm elementary algebra? LOL kidding aside, I love mathematics, but I loved it the most during my elementary and high school years... I was even the courageous soul to represent our school for the math quizzes and math Olympiads before...but gone are those days... *sigh* I come from a family of educators, and most of my aunts and cousins are majoring mathematics, and there's no way I wanted to be just one of the usual..lol so I decided to take up english as my major instead..and that drove me away from number since first year college... :P
