What do you do with left over candles?

I have dozens of half burnt candles that I don't use anymore. Some of them I have burnt and some I have melted. Mostly the ones I've melted are the ones laying around that I need something to do with because the wick is pretty much a lost cause afterwards. Any ideas????

If they are the smell pretty ones, I place them in the ashtray or cup holders in my car and drive around with them. It is like a car freshner, but with out having to buy something else.

I've been trying to decide what to do with my partially burnt out candles also, since we are getting ready to move. I finally decided last night to just toss them out. I always have too many candles anyway, so getting rid of a few is not too big of a loss to me.

You can place a small pot on stove with very little water in it and simmer candles to melt them. You can use melted wax for another candle ( new wick in a mason jar, pour wax and let harden some before adding more for layered effect ). I have used them for making firestarters for camping. You take melted wax, dryer lint and either paper egg cartons or 3 ounce paper cups. Place lint in cup/egg carton cup and pour wax over it. Makes fires burn when first lit. ;)

You can also put them together (sorta chop them up) in an old candle cantainer and put them on a candle warmer. I would be careful mixing too many scents though. You might end up with a an ICKY smell! :)

You can buy wicks in the craft stores. Take all the candles and melt them and make a new one. Just be careful not to get the wax too hot while melting it. The other thing you can do is get one of those candle warmers and use a heat resistant jar and melt them in there if the are scented candles.
