Do You See Shadow People? all opinions welcome

When I use to live out in the country years ago, I use to see them all the time out in my long shady back yard. They looked just like those wooden, black cutouts people have leaning up against a tree or porch. What I would see was a tall man in shadow form wearring a hat with one arm out to lean on a tree and had one leg crossed over the other, I would blink and he would disapear. This went on for some time and no one would believe me till, (thank god) one day all of my relitives and friends were back in the yard helping me set up a small swimming pool and all of a sudden they yelled: Who's that? When I looked, I saw it was the shadow man, (as I called him) and one of their dogs took out after him and chased it around the picnic table and it suddenly vanished into thin air! Everyone was in shock, even the dog! They finally believed me! I moved 3 years ago and haven't seen any since, but I do know they are out there and it is NOT just our imagination!!!

I do from time to time see and or sense things. They have never panned out to be anything other than optical illusions and bad thoughts when I am tired and confused. I believe that people who are open to spirits will see them. For me, I do not believe this is spiritually healthy, and I am pretty closed to such an experience. I am not saying it is impossible, but only that I do not desire it at all.

I have experienced this at different points of my life, mainly when I was younger, but not as much these days now that I am grown. I don't know, but I believe that could because I am just to busy these days to really take notice of what I see out the corner of my eye. I have heard of shadow-people as well and many believe that Wavorly Hills Sanitorium in Lousiville, Kentucky is full of them. I am not sure if this is true or not since I haven't been there to see for myself, but Wavorly is famous now, because of it's many hauntings. I am hoping to go there and find out for sure. It is intriguing to say the least.

Hmm, well I beliebe their are shadow people. You see I have this odd thing happen to me as I keep waking up at 3.30am just to see a Shadow figure run away, out of my locked bedroom! At first I thought I was still sleeping but after the 30th time it happened, I know it's not a dream! Shadow people exsist.

Yes i have seen them, but I believe them to be spirits of some sort that are here. I am a Christian, and have on many instances seen demonic spirits tormenting people. There is no doubt in my mind that this happens all around us.

nah, never saw but once i heard the sound of hand pump. some one was usng handpump in our home. sound was of that. only 4 of us was at home at that time & we were all together. That means no one of us used hand pump. the door was closed. that creeped me out.

This is very interesting. Did you know that my nick name is "Shadow lady?" That is because of my silhouette art. Hhehehehe. And, yes, I have experienced this figure phenomena time to time. I used to see 'em all the time at my parents' house. It was always while I was in my room and the door was open. I'd always think I'd see someone walking by the front door and when I looked, there was no one there. It always seemed to be the same sort of "figure" too. Oh and there were also a couple times where I could've sworn someone was standing at my bedroom door and when I looked, no one was there. THAT was pretty freaky! I always thought my eyes were just playing tricks on me or something. You know, we always think we see something out of the corner of our eyes. I don't recall any moments of seeing any "shadow people" in my new place yet.

This is interesting. I have from time to time seen a shadow skitter past but there was never that I can recll a sense of dread so I'm pretty sure it was just a shadow....However, I did once have a cat that went crazy every now and then and fought with something that wasn't visible to the rest of us. She would hiss and growl and stab with her claws. Then she would run around as though trying to cut something off. We used to call her "crazy Cass Cat" but I always sort of thought Cassady saw something the rest of us were missing and whatever it was she didn't like it. Maybe it was a shadow person.

Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. I have seen what I thought was a person passing by me but when I looked properly nothing was there. I always thought it was just tiredness causing this. I have also seen this in daylight in the street, mainly while driving and thinking I was nearly going to knock someone down. It is a bit scary sometimes.

I like the term...Shadow People... Well, yes, i admit I have seen these figures a lot of times already. And what really comes to my mind is "they're so fast!". Like what you've said, you seem to notice them in one corner of your eye but when you turn around and look at it, it's gone. How could they possibly do that? Unexplainable, indeed and mysterious too. Sometimes, i don't feel very comfortable seeing these things. But I prefer not minding them at all. I couldn't figure out exactly who and what these phenomena are. BUt whatever they are, as long as they won't do anything harm to me and to my loved ones, I'm not gonna disturb them too. :)

Yea sometimes i do atleast think i see things out of the conner of my eye. But then think im seeing things. cool to know theres a name for these people or things

To tell you the truth, back then if I have seen shadow faces across the room I was either high or drunk. But if I was sober and seen shadows like that, I would be trippin' and freaked out!

I never knew there was a term for it but yes, I have seen strange shadows here and there, most of the time it's when I am typing and I notice something out of the corner of my eye. It's not something that's in my direct field of vision and I know as soon as I stop what I am doing or turn my head, it's going to move or disappear. Some will disagree and say that it's just your mind playing tricks on you but I can't go that route. Once you have had one of these experiences, you know it's real.

I ever notice about this shadow people who was seen when you see only a bit in some place, you will notice there is someone right there but when you see it again once more you will find no one there. Its really suspicious, whenever this happened to me, i would go there and take a look, searching if there is someone there. Maybe this kind like some vision or something. I don't know and it really mysterious.

this happens to me as well but i have always thought it was my imagination as the shadow is so fleeting. sometimes i think i see a person but of course there is noone there. i dont find it scary but i would like to know more about it.

Well my and my friend's shadow peoples (who were violent and tried to hurt us), were creations of all the negative energy that hung around our homes -- which WE helped create and left to stew..somehow they put themselves together..and well we had some things to deal with. I know..the story's fantastic..but nothing much surprises me anymore. I might very well be crazy..but so far it looks like I'm sane so.. Anyway, yes..I've seen them..as is probably apparant after the first line. Though at the times I hadn't been able to find any information on our loverly shadow folks, more recently I've been finding more on them. If I believe any of the sites I've found on the web, we're not the only folks that a couple of shadow people were violent to -- though most seem to be harmless, shy things..we've always seen 'em around..but up until last year and into this one, we've never had much to do with 'em..and forgot all about them.

Yes, all the time. Nearly everynight I see at least one and usually many more, but then, I have always known this house id haunted. We hear strange bunps and bangs, door opening and closing, light going off and on, footsteps on the stairs, laughter in the bedrooms. You know, just the usual! LOL!

I do when i was in my room and it disappeared when i tried to look at it again!But i guess,its because i think too much and i like to visualize a lot of things in my mind.Thats why it happened to me sometimes.
