Have you even spent two hours on mylot reading discussions but not responding?
For last 2 days I am reading many discussions without responding. I kind of enjoy doing this and instead of finding good discussion to join, I am trying to find good discussions in general.I would like to discuss about something that will never expired, something that can work as an inspiration, not personal issues.
What I found reading for last few days, was all about personal life and many details that made me tired. Personal problems, long story after long story. We all are having problems. The only people without problems are people on cemeteries.
If you are talking about your problem, you are just making it bigger. Life is short, look forward and enjoy.
I like most of my friend's discussions. I have many friends on mylot, but only few, maybe 15, that I really enjoy responding to.
What really matters on MyLot?
Do you like to read long stories about someone else very personal life? Is it all about "Me, myself and I"?

I do that sometimes as well.... i just read the posts and rate them but dont actually post any reponses. Im not sure what happens to me but I know i do like reading them but at the end of hte discussion i have nothing more to add. Some people have said what i wanted to say. So in those cases i dont have anything more toadd. I guess im on mylot for 2 reasons, to mingle with otehr people as well as make some extra money to buy something which i would not other wise buy.

I enjoy reading discussions too. I spent the first few days here in myLot doing this. But then, I just realize that I don't earn by doing this. In order to earn, I responded to the discussions that I liked. At least, my thoughts are literally worth a few cents.
YOu should at least respond and give your own thoughts when reading discussions. It is not all about earning, sharing your thoughts about a certain topic could prove useful to others.

To much time i come to mylot and I say to myself that today only I'll response to discussions.....and from the first moments here i forget myself at reading discussions and responses without i type even one line to anyone. Many discussions let me with my mouth open ....I can't understand how some people can write about so personal things and discuss it with details.I suppose just I'm not this kind of person...
About the quality ,I try response as better I can. Some of my friends discussions can be sometimes without good quality and as much I avoid some times I post to them. Each one he has him way to stat a topic and sometimes i post to them even if I don't like because they come always to me so I try be fair with them.
You are my friend too but I like your topics. You try always do quality discussions.

I've been very disenchanted with MyLot recently .. so much so that I have only made one lot of replies in about 3 weeks .. I am going to catch back up again though ..
To be honest I just got fed up with all the poems, recipes, jokes and other 'light weight' discussions that really don't require replies or are very difficult to reply to .. after coming across dozens of 'here's a good recipe' I simply ran out of ways to say 'that sounds nice I'll have to try it ..
So I've decided not to make any more replies to jokes, (which I rarely laugh at) .. recipes, (which I know I'll never try) .. or poems (which I never bother to read) .. now hopefully I'll be able to get on with making some replies and not having to stress over my shortcomings in replying to all these 'lightweight' topics ..

I didn't make many responds lately, becasue I am very busy. I guess, I am tired with polite respond to jokes and recipes as you are....talk to you soon...

Sometimes I like reading general interest like you have here, Although I find myself responding to some personal issues that I come across, that are also fun and interesting, however, you are right, its tiring and we tend to bore on discussions about me, myself and I. Its good to find some discussions of value, and there are also a lot here, like did you read the one that discusses about rice, a cup of rice is actually equivalent to 10 spoonful of sugar, lol, The discussion was long but I read it to the letter.
Enjoy myLot.

A voyeur I am ... some of the time
Learning all the time
Someone's joy is sometimes mine
Someone's grief always mine
Just made that up.
Yes, I do spend time looking at stuff. Sit down write and sometimes rant.
My interests are wide, so are my posts and responses.
Cheers!

I sometimes find myself unable to think of anything to respond or the add to the discussion after reading one. When this happens, I simply read on to the next topic without even bothering to write anything. I might end up writing some non-sense anyway.

I am new and just reading it all. I am trying to find out more about. Is this site like jurnal? Many personal stories, I don't want to talk about my life here.

I am over the 1500 responses, and I am fed up with mylot for now. BEfore I posted 10-20comments per day, but now I post 1-2 comments. Because people open similar discussions about similar topics. My english is not perfect, so it takes me more time to read and understand a long story, which is very similar to another 500 topics. I am sure that most of these mylot members doesn't need our advices at all. And I can not give better advice, than the 50 other members who alredy commented the discussion. The long story and the long comments are about the earning. THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS, OF COURSE.
So now answer and open discussions, only if I feel the urge I must. It is since 1st March (my earning since then is only 1,58 :))
I think I opened discussions about my personal problems too... Not because I really wondered the people opinion, but I felt the urge I must.
People write about their problems if they are thinking too much about it, and they want to cry it to the world keeping their unknown.

I agree with you, there are days that I will sit and just read the discussions and then read what others will respond to them I do this because some discussions most of the time people will tell the person that started the discussion about the same thing. but yes I enjoy just reading through others discussions. good one here thanks!

While its not about 'Me, myself and I', simply because if it were to be so, you would not be reading what others wrote, it's about quality and quantity. I myself scan messages endlessly before picking the ones to respond to. I was interested to reply to this one, because I too am like you! While a great many post topics out here for the sake of posting them, many of them are well written and informative. I love reading such articles. The best thing about mylot is the preferences section. You just need to key in an interest and it gives you links to related discussions. It really is a neat feature.

Agree, however, discussions from my interest are old or boring, so I usually stick with my friends discussions...

It all depends. If the stories are really interesting or need special help, I enjoy them, but if not, I mean when they're about something not that important as it sounds, I don't care that much. I help whenever I'm asked about it. It happens often to me to read without responding, because I don't have anything to add to a discussion, when all the others had said what I wished. It's just not nesessary.
